Zisimos Florenc Soulkoukis, a prominent Greek-Albanian soloist, is a distinguished violinist based in Athens. Renowned for his collaborations with orchestras like the Greek National Opera and the Athens Philharmonic, he previously served as a member of the Athens State Orchestra. As the founder and leader of the orchestral ensemble Novarte and a key member of the Chryssea Formix ensemble, Soulkoukis has solidified his position among the noteworthy artists of his generation.
With an impressive repertoire, he has graced renowned venues worldwide, including Musikverein in Vienna, Carnegie Hall in New York, Covent Garden in London, Teatro Verdi in Florence, and the Athens Concert Hall. Beyond his performances, Soulkoukis shares his musical expertise as a violin teacher at the Municipal Conservatory of Piraeus, the New Conservatory of Alimos, and Sappho Conservatory. He also plays a crucial role as a co-organizer of the Parnassos String Festival.
Soulkoukis earned top honors upon graduating from the Athens Conservatory, receiving the first prize from the Greek Ministry of Culture. His dedication to musical excellence is further underscored by his participation in the "Accademia Musicale Chigiana," studying under Salvatore Accardo, and attending masterclasses led by esteemed soloists like Grigory Zhislin, Giuliano Carmignola, and Boris Belkin.
